James Moran
Lecturer in Ecology and Biology
James is a lecturer in Ecology and Biology at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology teaching on agriculture and environment related programmes. He leads the Agro-ecology and Rural Development (ARD) research group within the Marine and Freshwater Research Centre at Galway – Mayo Institute of Technology. His research and outreach work concentrates on sustainable agricultural systems.

Julien Carlier
Postdoctoral Researcher
Julien Carlier is a Post-Doctoral researcher at the Marine and Freshwater Research Centre at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology. His research interests include biodiversity conservation, ecosystem dynamics, image pattern and morphological assessment, and improving knowledge base for strategic planning.

John Finn
Researcher in Agricultural Ecology

Senior Research Officer
Daire Ó hUallacháin is a researcher working with Teagasc, Environment Research Centre at Johnstown Castle, Wexford. His research interests include sustainable agriculture; terrestrial and freshwater ecology; water quality and sediment dynamics.

Marie Doyle
Lecturer in Forestry
Marie Doyle is a lecturer in Forestry at University College Dublin. She specialises in forestry, adaptation of certification for Irish forests; use of decision support tools in forest management; adoption of computerised tools to support forest policy development.

Sara Ruas
Postdoctoral Researcher
Sara Ruas is a post-doctoral researcher responsible for the development of Task 1 and Task 2 of the project. Her doctoral thesis was mainly focused on understanding the factors that affect the supply of biodiversity-based ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes. Her research interests include agro-ecology, plant ecology, landscape ecology, ecosystem services and agro-biodiversity.
